Fraud Alert: Fake Intellectual Property Notices Using Our Firm’s Name
We have learned that someone is sending fraudulent “Formal Notice Regarding Intellectual Property Concerns” messages that falsely claim to come from Law Office of David B. Anderson, P.C. The notices allege copyright infringement on behalf of Fandango and target businesses and organizations that run Facebook pages. They have been signed by fictitious “Legal Practice Managers,” including “Sophia Kendall,” “Amelia Davidson,” and “Sophie Granger.” Some arrive by email, often from noreply@appsheet.com, and some come through website contact forms.
These notices were not sent by our firm. We do not represent Fandango, no one by those names works here, and we have made no such claims.
If you received one of these notices:

Do not click the “Supporting Documents & Evidence” link, and do not enter any Facebook, Meta, or other login details.

If you have already clicked the link or entered credentials, change your password right away, turn on two-factor authentication, and check who has admin access to your page.

You don’t need to take any action on your page because of the notice.

You can report it to Meta, and in the U.S. to the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center at ic3.gov.
